Story Tech 2 : Pre-treatment Process

2. Pre-treatment Process

Our custom conductors undergo several treatment stages before assembly. This is one of the most critical steps in crafting the “Athenamuse Sound.” This proprietary process was developed in-house, and the specific details remain confidential.

The treatment varies depending on the conductor’s specifications, and it took years of research to establish these protocols. Listeners often find it difficult to guess the technical specs of our cables just by hearing them; this is largely due to the influence of these unique treatment processes.

Surface Processing: To reveal one of our simpler, more well-known methods: most of our silver cables undergo surface processing. While the concept sounds simple, it is an extremely delicate and demanding task.

ARP (Athenamuse Re-creation Processing): This is our signature proprietary treatment. Before assembly, we inject or pass a specific type of energy through the conductor. The type, duration, and intensity of this energy are applied differently based on the conductor’s material and thickness.

Note: This is distinct from a standard burn-in process. Even after this treatment, the finished cable requires a normal burn-in period, just like any other high-end audio cable.

This method was developed through decades of audio research and remains a trade secret. We call this process “ARP (Athenamuse Re-creation Processing).” The equipment used for ARP is not commercially available; it is a proprietary device designed and built by Athenamuse. ARP plays a vital role in defining the sonic character of our cables.
